Emerging reports indicate that the newly appointed Super Eagles Manager, Gernot Rohr, will be sacked by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, if he fails to qualify Nigeria for the 2018 World Cup.
The Franco-German Coach, recently gave the shocking revelation, when he spoke to a FIFA publication, “FIFA 1904” in its current edition.
The 63-year old, also disclosed that his contract with the NFF, is tied to his ability to qualify the Super Eagles to the 2018 World cup.
Meanwhile, the Eagles Manager has expressed readiness to work with the NFF under any condition, adding that he could work without being paid, as he was used to being owed by his employers.
This is arguably the first time in many years of engaging foreign Coaches, that the NFF may have signed what looks like a favourable contract.
Rohr, remains the fifth Coach to have handled the Super Eagles, since the beginning of the AFCON and World Cup qualifiers, having had late Coach, Stephen Keshi, Sunday Oliseh, Samson Siasia, and Salisu Yusuf, handling the team in the past.
The NFF looks bent on the World Cup, after failing to qualify for the 2017 edition of the African Nations Cup AFCON.
