#BBNWonderland was on Saturday October 1, 2016 at The Civic Centre Lagos, and it was breathtaking! Baileys Nigeria & BellaNaija Weddings‘ second edition of WONDERLAND was all about making dreams come true, celebrating the Nigerian creative industry, all while enjoying the luxurious taste of Baileys.
Over 30 brides were treated to an unforgettable experience, starting with anUber ride from the airport or their homes in Lagos, leading to a slumber party with a buffet and Baileys moments on Friday night. On Saturday, which also happened to be a day of national celebration – Independence Day, the brides got their makeup and hair done by the BM|Proteam at Intercontinental Hotel, styled with the tiaras in the glorious invitation box designed with love by Parchment by Dami.

While they were changing into their Glam and Gorgeous dresses, they had NO IDEA what was in store for them at the venue. IT. WAS. SPECTACULAR.
The team was on hand to accompany the ladies from hotel to venue, where the magic was about to happen.

While guests were enjoying creative Nigerian canapes by Tash Bistro, and Baileys cocktails crafted by Eventi Cocktails downstairs, the Civic Center hall was partitioned into two separate experiences, all influenced by the dreaminess of BellaNaija Weddings and the rich smooth taste of Baileys.
The event was planned by Gozie Coker of Coker Creative and her team for the 2nd year in a row, who made sure it all came together smoothly.
The white and gold portion, for the main event seated 100 guests, with the brides on royal chairs by Magna Events, while the rest of the guests were on round gold rimmed chairs from Chestnut Rentals.

The gold cutlery was by Gigs while the DELICIOUS food was specially prepared by Kots Catering, with Baileys desserts by SALT.
The black and gold soiree had a black carpet, and a ceiling filled with gold balloons by Misorge, a dessert table with a chocolate fountain, macaroons and more from Sokolad and sweets from Andies Candies.
The piece de resistance was a yummy Baileys-infused black and gold cake crafted by legendary Cakes by Tosan, we will share professional photos soon!
The brides and guests were serenaded by Tuke Morgan and her band, then it was time to go up!
The first surprise was revealed … Basketmouth as this year’s host! He was dapper, funny and guided the ladies through games, and guests through the hitch-free day.
DJ Obi was on the decks and had the crowd moving.
The fab gifts for the games were special #BNbling nail lacquer sets by Nigerian brand Amali Cosmetics, a Mr & Mrs set from The Gift Source, 20 spa boxes fromThe Gift Haven, glamorous headpieces, clutch, necklace sets Le Reve Pieces, a box of treats from The Lekki Gift Company and travel-size Baileys bottles.
In the Independence Day spirit, the games included reciting the national pledge and singing the anthem.
There was also musical chairs, and many more – then Basketmouth upped the ante by offering free wedding MC services if the brides could successfully imitate a Nigerian comedian.

Then it was time for the celeb newlyweds – both OAP Toolz and style influencer and blogger Noble Igwe got married in the past year, and had great advice regarding big families, budgeting and more.
Next up was the ‘Ask the Experts’ session, where Deola of 2706 Events, Mosun of IPC Events and Kunle of Klala Photography & Films shared their expertise around picking a planner and more.
It was time for a HUGE surprise – due to popular demand last year, we added a celebrity couple session with mega star Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and Captain Matthew Ekeinde, married for over 20 years!!!
The accomplished actress and star pilot went VERY real when talking about getting married young, balancing career and home, while keeping it sizzling hot. Guests and brides were applauding and hollering for more, but we had to see them go after over 20 minutes of unadulterated advice!

Next up was a speech from Banke Meshida-Lawal of BM|Pro about hair and beauty for the big day.

Next up was a thrilling live performance from Flavour and his band and they killed it! The set was over 40 minutes long with hits from Ada Ada to Obianuju, from Gollibe to Chinny Baby, with special effects like gold and white confetti and fog by Eventecture.
After the show was the after party! With yummy small chops, food by Grind Grill Cafe, cake was served, as well treats like cupcakes and more on the dessert table.
